Inventory Coordinator

JOB FUNCTION:  Monitors inventory levels and accuracy through physical audits of crop, maintains the integrity of Sage GV and contracted product.

 

JOB DUTIES:

  • Count inventory, evaluate inventory and manipulate inventory ready dates in Sage GV daily based on sales demand, spec changes, and plant readiness.
  • Monitor orders from committed items report and batch list to ensure product available when needed for orders, downhaul or transferring to another facility.
  • Provide site location sheet of plants that need to be shipped and update corporate sale’s “PUSH/FOCUS LIST”.
  • Responsible for contracted product.
  • Verifies transplant crop counts, tracks their movement, and ensures that they remain properly identified.
  • Assist Inventory Manager on maintaining accurate plant inventory levels.
  • Ensures that inventory Sage GV data remains accurate (current and future).
  • Aids shipping department supervisor in making sure all processes and procedure are correctly adhered to when orders are changed.
  • Makes daily inventory adjustments as directed.
  • Audits transplant records when needed.
  • Performs weekly cycle counts on items scheduled crops, comparing physical counts to computer counts and performing an analysis on any discrepancies found.
  • Create weekly Inventory by Location Report for selecting section growers and spray tech.
  • Takes and downloads pictures of site crops as avail or as requested for visual verification.
  • Tracking of dump records by entering and verifying dump reports.
  • Helps coordinate contract grown/direct ship product.
  • Assist in update contract grown spreadsheet.
  • Analyze and communicate crops that are saleable.
  • Keep accurate count on daily inventory.
  • Meet deadlines for customer PO process
  • Evaluate plant quality and relay issues to growing team
  • Evaluate daily committed items
  • Assists with other administrative duties such as front desk and HR.

  • Ability to work flexible schedule and extended hours when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:

  • Able to read and write English
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Efficient communicator
  • Organized with ability to prioritize projects
  • Experience in greenhouse or nursery environment preferred
  • Plant knowledge preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Work long hours as needed during busy season, including weekends.
  • Work in both an office and warehouse environment.
  • Work indoors and outdoors, in seasonal temperatures and conditions.
  • Office environment, long hours sitting in front of a computer.
